Headteachers Welcome

Thank you for showing an interest in our school. I am pleased to offer you this welcome as a brief guide to the work and aims of the school. I hope it will capture the atmosphere of our school which is open, friendly and purposeful. We pride ourselves on our ethos which enables all children to flourish in a safe and stimulating atmosphere where we endeavour to motivate, challenge and inspire our children through a differentiated, creative and personalised curriculum.

Providing inspirational and exemplary education for all our children is of paramount importance. The governors, staff and I are committed to ensuring that we grow and sustain a rich, caring and aspirational culture in our school, which in turn will benefit all its children and their families.

Much of our school’s ongoing success is reliant upon the partnerships that we build with our community – locally and globally. Consequently I look forward to getting to know our families and visitors by personally welcoming you in to school should you choose Falconhurst as the school for your child or just as a place to visit.

About Falconhurst School

Our school is in Eaglestone, central Milton Keynes, where the vibrancy of city living is balanced by nearby places of natural beauty. We use this rich environment to the full. Children could well find themselves understanding the work of artists at the local art gallery one day and getting ‘in touch with nature’ at one of the many local lakes another day.

Falconhurst is a school where the children and their families provide a rich and varied mix of heritages, cultures, strengths and talents. All are welcome as we recognise that learning is universal and our diverse school community is a place where there is much to learn from each other.

Children's learning and their achievements at Falconhurst are of paramount importance. Our highly skilled and deeply committed staff provide a curriculum which is purposeful, enjoyable, and focused on the children themselves. By starting with what children already know, and what they would like to know, our learning is actively led by the children themselves.
